How do the AWB Pools work?
Under an AWB Pool Contract you sell your grain to AWBHFP as
trustee for the 2012/2013 AWB Pools Trust. Upon delivery of your
grain, title in the grain passes to us. We then sell the grain both
domestically and internationally over an extended pricing window.
Depending on the payment option chosen by you, we will then pay
you for the grain purchased from you in accordance with the terms
of the particular payment option.
For which grains do we offer AWB Pools?
For the 2012/2013 season we will be offering:
• a Wheat Pool;
• a Lupin Pool (in Western Australia); and
• a Feed Barley Pool (in Victoria and South Australia).
We may at our discretion open new grain pools, establish local
sub-pools or close existing pools.

What are the payment options available?
The 2012/13 AWB Pool offers you access to a range of different
contracts and payment options.
The key features of the payment options offered for the 2012/13
season are as follows:
Pool Distribution: Cash flow and income are spread over the term
of the pool. Guaranteed payment dates every three months from
harvest. Estimated distribution ranges to assist with budgeting.
Deferred Pool Distribution: Distributions commence from July
onwards and quarterly thereafter. Your July payment will include an
additional amount (as determined by us) above the standard pool
return which represents interest earned by the AWB pool on so
much of the funds held by the relevant AWB Pool as we determine
is attributable to growers who deliver under the AWB Deferred Pool
Deferred Payment: Allows you to defer the majority of your AWB
Pool income to July, early in the next financial year after harvest.
The deferred payment is calculated by reference to the Estimated
Pool Return (EPR) in respect of the grain as determined by us less
our estimate of the financing costs and deductions. Your financing
cost will include an underwriting fee.
AWB Loan: Convenient and flexible line of credit facility with no
security required. The credit limit is determined by reference to
your grain deliveries. Additional benefits include potential 'Top-
Ups' providing additional cash flow. The interest rate applicable
to the loan is variable and published on the AWB website. Interest
is capitalised on a monthly basis and loan repayments are made
directly from AWB Pool distributions. Unless you request otherwise
(or have previously provided us with instructions) 100% of your
credit limit will be drawn down and credited to your nominated
bank account in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. You
may draw down up to your available credit limit at any time or
repay the loan at any stage and you are permitted to redraw the
amount that you have repaid in certain circumstances.
By selecting the AWB Loan you also agree to pay an underwriting
fee. If you are an individual, you will not be eligible to apply for an
AWB Loan unless you have completed a business declaration form
declaring that the loan facility is strictly used for business and/
or investment purposes. A copy of the form can be accessed by
contacting our Grower Service Centre on 1800 447 246.
